About Our Pastor
Rev. Ken Roh is the pastor of the Frankfort United Methodist Church. He has been a Midwesterner most of his life, having grown up in Ohio before eventually moving to and settling in Illinois.
He sensed God calling him to ministry while attending college, but upon graduation, he pursued a brief corporate career. The nudging and the restlessness persisted in his heart, however, and he made the decision to follow God’s call into ministry. He earned a Master of Divinity Degree from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary (Evanston, IL) and later, a Master of Science in Nonprofit Management from Spertus College (Chicago, IL).
He is an Ordained Elder in the Northern Illinois Conference of the United Methodist Church, and has served in various ministry settings prior to coming to Frankfort in 2013. Above all, he loves to study and teach the Bible. He has a deep appreciation for the creative capacity in people, and he seeks to tap into his own creative potential for understanding and meaningfully living out the Gospel. He loves meeting people at the intersection of life and divine grace where transformation can begin. His goal in life is to become a better communicator of the Gospel. More than words, and by God’s grace, he seeks to embody faith, hope, and love and mobilize the Church in Christ’s ongoing ministry of justice and reconciliation.
He is married to Hannah, his partner in life, and they have four children.
